Tilburg Chess Notes is being built

Somewhere in Tilburg this week, a club evening is ending. Pieces are going back in their boxes, scores are being noted, the last games are being analyzed at the edge of the board. Most of that will be forgotten by tomorrow.

This publication exists to remember some of it.

Tilburg Chess Notes is an independent bilingual publication about chess culture in Tilburg and Brabant — club evenings, local tournaments, player stories, annotated games, and the atmosphere surrounding amateur chess across the region. The first articles and interviews are planned for Summer 2026.

Ergens in Tilburg eindigt deze week een speelavond. De stukken gaan terug in de dozen, de uitslagen worden genoteerd, de laatste partijen worden nabesproken aan de rand van het bord. Het meeste daarvan is morgen vergeten.

Deze publicatie bestaat om een deel daarvan te onthouden.

Tilburg Chess Notes is een onafhankelijke tweetalige publicatie over schaakcultuur in Tilburg en Brabant — clubavonden, lokale toernooien, spelersverhalen, geannoteerde partijen en de sfeer rondom het amateurschaak in de regio. De eerste artikelen en interviews staan gepland voor zomer 2026.
